KMT is proud to be awarded finalist with an Honourable Mention in CRN Impact Awards by delivering an infrastructure upgrade & security posture.
August 2020 marks yet another award for Kaine Mathrick Tech securing a finalist position with an Honourable Mention in the CRN Impact awards – Modernising Infrastructure category.
Secon Freight and Logistics has an aggressive growth agenda and to achieve this, they required a reliable, scalable and secure infrastructure that enabled them to mobilise their workforce, deal with office relations and reduced downtime and inefficiencies.
Secon had previously engaged another MSP to manage the virtualisation of a server that had corrupted, with no success. They were looking for an MSP to provide a robust solution that supported their growth agenda enabling them to expand, reduce security risks and maximises the value of the tech spend.
This project was significant to Secon. Like many Australian businesses, Secon was also targeted by ransomware cybersecurity attacks. There were issues around providing their workforce with secure and effective remote access and they were spending money on outdated infrastructure and had an urgent office relocation to coordinate. Essentially the environment required an overhaul with a proactive maintenance and support plan to enable them to run their business with confidence their technology was supporting their business operations effectively.
KMT a Melbourne based MSP, demonstrated an innovative solution with the virtualisation of a production Windows 2000 server being migrated across VMware. KMT consolidated 8 physical servers down to two hosts. This meant Secon achieved a 50% cost reduction in the rack space with additional savings the reduction of power, air-conditioning and supporting additional infrastructure.
Following the deployment, Secon now has the confidence that their technology infrastructure is stable and placed them in a position where they are on the front foot and confident with their cybersecurity posture. They are also confident they have chosen the right MSP to enable them to concentrate on growth.
