KMT Download October

Hi All,

Welcome back to our October edition of the KMT Download.

We’re excited to bring you our special edition for Cyber Awareness Month. October is a time to reflect on the importance of cybersecurity in our increasingly digital world. In this edition, we’ll provide you with the latest updates and insights to help you stay secure online. Cyber threats are evolving, and being prepared is the first step towards safeguarding your digital life.

Supporting Nonprofit Organisations

We assist numerous essential industries by delivering innovative and efficient technology solutions that facilitate their growth strategies.

Among the sectors we are deeply committed to serving are our nonprofit partners. We understand the indispensable role they play in enriching our communities, and our commitment is centered on elevating their technological capabilities to enhance efficiency.

In alignment with this commitment, we are excited to announce a webinar scheduled for November 28th at noon, dedicated to all nonprofit organizations. The webinar will focus on topics related to cybersecurity and data protection. If you are interested in participating, please register your interest here.

Expanding into Brisbane

I’m delighted to share the news that KMT has extended its cyber-first managed IT services to the Brisbane area. With this expansion, we are bringing our extensive expertise to assist a broader range of businesses and organizations across Queensland. We are fully attuned to the distinctive challenges and prospects present in the Brisbane market, and we are dedicated to being your technology partner in fostering growth.

Breaking news regarding Privacy Laws

In a significant move, the government has decided to remove Privacy Act exemptions for small businesses with annual turnovers of up to $3 million, underscoring the importance of data protection in today’s digital age. This change means that businesses in this category will face new data privacy obligations, highlighting the importance of data security for all, regardless of business size. Organisations must take these obligations seriously and adapt their data handling processes to meet the new standards.

As we approach the conclusion of 2023, my attention is shifting towards the future and how KMT can continue to enhance our client support. As technology remains the cornerstone of all business operations, we are committed to offering a more profound strategic emphasis going forward, with a sharper focus on advancing our clients’ growth objectives.

My dedicated team at KMT and I are here to guide you through your digital journey. By following the outlined steps, you can fortify your online presence. Stay tuned for more updates in our October edition to ensure the security and safety of your digital world. Stay vigilant in cyberspace!
